We do not accept and will not review unsolicited material. What is a sync license?

A synchronization license, commonly referred to as a sync license, permits an individual or organisation to synchronize a musical composition with another form of media. This can include, but is not limited to, TV advertisements, feature films, computer games and online use.

This license covers the publishing right to a piece of music, allowing the licensee to record a work and synchronize it in a defined context. If the licensee wishes to use an existing version of a work, then a master license may be required for the use of a recording.

Typically, a sync license is granted by a Music Publisher, while a master license is granted by a Record Label. The conditions of a sync license, including the territory of exploitation and duration of use, are subject to negotiation and approval.

What are the contents of a rental package?

A rental set includes one conductor score, one set of winds, brass, and percussion parts, and a string set as dictated by the orchestration of the work. If you need additional scores or other materials, you must specify this on your rental order form.
