This spectacular Mozart composition, which has a distinct flavour of early Italian opera, has been artistically orchestrated by Hollywood composer Peter Myers. Each movement has a distinct identity, and Myers has enhanced these identities with careful orchestral distribution and dynamics. The first two movements are perfect examples of Mozart's operatic style. The delicate Menuetto features the clarinets, while the fourth movement is a chromatic fugue in the truest sense. Myers begins with the strings, tapering off to the woodwinds and reaching a magnificent tutti. The ending is sheer Mozart genius.
