Third in the Mozart series, this four movement work contains all of the effervescent creativity we have come to expect from W.A.M. Myers has taken the original quartet and respectfully orchestrated it into a symphonic metamorphosis. The opening allegro is filled with sparkling dynamics and is followed by the andante, which features solo passages for the french horn in a true Mozartian style. Following the brief menuetto the finale is a tour de force. It is composed in the form of a gigue and variations. Much is demanded of the woodwind and brass soloists, but when performed at the recommended tempo it will bring audiences to their feet. The mp3 files will provide you with brief glimpses into the sheer exhilaration of this work and the pdf examples display the quality of our editions.
